Save the Children Sweden organizes its work around eleven working areas related to the fulfillment of Children's Rights.

In each one of the regions it works in the world, it prioritises some of these areas according to the local reality regarding the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

To develop its thematic areas, Save the Children Sweden applies different strategies to its work, such as carrying out research and analysis, disseminating its knowledge and empowering civil society, especially children themselves. Advocacy, awareness raising and capacity building on Children's Rights are key elements to Save the Children Sweden's work.

In Latin America, Save the Children Sweden currently works in eight programme areas.
