Save the Children Sweden (Rädda Barnen) is a non profit organization without religious or political affiliation that brings together approximately 90,000 members. Founded in November 1919, our organization has ever since focused on promoting and defending children's rights, supporting children at risk and creating public opinion in this respect.

Our goals

Save the Children Sweden seeks a world that acknowledges the value of all children and adolescents as individuals and respects their rights, where adults will listen to children and take them into account, and a world of opportunity and hope for children.

Save the Children Sweden feels that only by changing society's values, public policy and social practice will we achieve real and lasting benefits for all the world's children. With this goal in mind, it seeks to enhance overall awareness of children's rights including the participation of boys, girls and adolescents.
